Dominik Hartz had a “colourful” 2024 in every sense. His self-titled debut album is out in the world, he is now accompanied by a live band with an infectious energy to match his own, and his vibrant videos reflect his creative journey so far. Sporting a pink hedgehog hairstyle adorned with red hearts, he quips, “This look won’t last, but it sets the tone.”

After his biggest tour yet in 2024, Hartz has taken his next leap. His freshly-released debut album features collaborations with familiar names and production by Lucas Riemenschneider and Malte Kuhn. “Lucas and I have worked together for over four years. It started with occasional sessions, now it’s regular.” Trust and human connection drive his creative process.

Growing up in rural Schleswig Holstein, YouTube was his gateway to the world. Inspired by the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Peter Fox, he first performed street music in Australia, earning confidence on Melbourne's streets. After honing his acting skills at Berlin’s Ernst Busch Academy, he embraced lockdown challenges by creating a DIY studio.

With a five-piece live band and sharp lyrics blending everyday life with rap culture, he’s already becoming a voice of his generation.
